History

Modal was founded by Daimon Caulk in 2001 with the goal to provide a bridge between business and technology. His experience as a designer, information architect, and eCommerce analyst (while working for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP) has helped Fortune 500 and 1000 companies design customer-centric interfaces in a way that provides business value and customer acceptance. Many times a translator is needed in order to bridge the gap between "developer speak" and "marketing speak." Modal is a translator.

Modal is a thought leader. The Information Architect's Field Manual is one of a series of books the firm plans to publish to help other professionals and those interested in the field of information architecture (IA) establish a good foundation and insight into the industry.
